Time For Some & Great Results @ The Kent
Street Dancer 2009 - (19th April 2009)
We all
enjoyed the day, and all done so very
well!
|
 |
What A Great Day We Had!
Its was so nice to see all
pupils supporting each other and
I even spotted Steph apologies
to another dancer when they had
a small collision during one of
the heats showing our pupils are
not only well behaved, but well
mannered too!
The star of the day was most
definitely baby Davis! seen on
the left who seemed to enjoy
every minute, never heard her
cry one bit, not forgetting
older sister Jodie who
originally only went to watch
and then decided to dance and
made the semi finals in what was
a tough category the U10 Girls
Street! |

Results Of The FINALS Kent Street Dancer
2009
|

1st PLACE
Belle:
1st Place, Well Done Belle! You
Rocked! With Many teachers
commenting on the day how fab
you are, made us proud, "Your A
Wicked Dancer, with loads of
passion said Kirsten Wheeler",
such nice comments from
everyone, you should be proud of
yourself, especially as you have
only been doing street dance
since March 2008... way to go! |

4th PLACE
Emily:
Well what can one say this young
lady performed in her first open
street dance competition, with no break
down of categories like Newcomers, Intermediate,
Advanced, Emily was up against
them all. But after lots of hard
work to prepare for it and it
all paid off, well done Emily
for your much deserved 4th place
in the U/12 Street....
We cant wait to see Emily
perform her freestyle next week! |
|
Feedback From Our Pupils:
Emily & Hannah:
We had a good old chat today and
they said they simply love doing
street and cant wait to meet
Marquelle Ward from Britania
High when he comes to the
school, and equally cant wait to
attend our street dance master
classes with the girls from
SugarFree who you will see very
soon on Britain's Got Talent!
Both Girls are looking forward
to the big up and coming street
dance events, including our own
on the 4th October..... go
girls! |
|

6th PLACE
Hannah:
This young lady managed even
though she was ill, and had
actually been sick on the day
refused to leave the competition
and went on to the final, making
6th place. Well Done Hannah!

6TH PLACE
Joel:
Was up against it in the U/12
Boys Section, there was some
great boys and it ended up with
7 in the final, it was a very
hard one to judge too. Joel just
added his raw talent to what he
has learnt in such a short time,
Joel, this is just the beginning
for you young man, well done
keep it up!
CONGRATULATIONS ALSO TO THE
FOLLOWING PUPILS WHO MADE THE
SEMI FINALS
To make the semi-finals was just
great, this was not an easy day,
a good standard of street
dancers, and as this was your
first competition ever you
should pat yourself on the back!

Jade:
Over
18's Girl Street, This was a tough section, Jade you
did so well your second street dance competition and
was no easy task, just to make the semi finals was
great, but your show of personality, and love of
dance showed and you got yourself into the final,
well done for 5th place keep at it we know your
loving it! |
STREET DANCE DUO'S SECTION
2ND PLACE
Hannah & Emily:
Well all your effort and
practice at your street duo's
paid off, I was pleased you made
the final, but to go and get 2nd
what was you thinking....
you could see you have both been
listening during your street
classes, and look what you have
done with not even a single
private lesson, so lets watch
out for these two in the future!
Well done girls, I know it was
tough, but you had 100% energy
and you both give it your
all..... Nice
Picture too! ...... cant
wait to see your freestyle
doubles next week!

4th place in the O/18's, well
what a great achievement girls,
well done you danced fab and
considering the standard in this
category, well you just done
amazing! keep it up

3RD PLACE
Sophie & Belle:
Well can you believe it, these
two decided last minute to pair
up as both did not have their
partners present at this event,
so as a last minute thing danced
just two class routines joined
together, and went on to the
finals in the U/16 Duo's and can
you believe it got placed
